What kind of people does God use? What kind of people does he bless?
It doesn't matter about age, status, race, wealth or knowledge. They usually have one quality
they share.... They are people who trust God completely, with all their heart, soul, mind and
strength. When we trust God completely, it frees him to do the work. There's a direct
connection between faith and power...The more completely you give yourself to him and trust
him that he can do and will do.
Many of us minister in our own power.
We design our Christian walks in what WE can do, rather than relying on what GOD can do.
That is why we need to have the Holy Ghost dwell in us. We get tired too soon. We attend
church on Sunday, get "charged up" and lose the power quickly before the week has even
finished. We need to stay connected to the power source, Christ. God has enormous power
and an enormous supply of energy. He does not run dry.
We need to grow our faith.
God has big dreams, big expectations for us. We were bought with a price. He's looking for a
people whose life is his life. That his reality would be manifest in the world. Sometimes we get
these feelings that God chose us for something special. We feel His calling in our lives; and we
let satan, other people, etc. steal our dreams and we lose our faith in what God can do.
-We can encourage each other and build one another up but ultimately it is how we choose
how much to trust God ourselves.
No one else can have the faith for us.
How do you get your dream?
You need to ask God what his dream for your life is. What have you always dreamed of doing?
What does God put into your heart? Then you need to ask yourself why aren't you doing it?
What would you step out into if you knew God would bless you and be with you? You need to
ask "Help me to see what you have for my life" I want to know what his plan is for me.
We have not because we ask not. (James 4:1-3 Submit Yourselves to God 1What causes
fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2You
want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You
quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not
receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.)
What would you attempt in god if you knew you would not fail? You need to start to
communicate what God can do in your life, what you expect. His promises are true. It's as if
you receive a gift and say, I can't accept that. We need to dream BIG DREAMS. It doesn't
require faith to do what you know you can do in your own power "By faith, I can pick up this
paper" That isn't faith. The Lord wants to stir up our dreams, our expectations. He wants them
to be GOD-SIZED!!! God is the God of the impossible. He makes the impossible, possible.
Faith operates in the God-realm. How can we say we're a people of faith if we don't step into
the realm of the impossible?
THREE STAGES OF FAITH- Impossible, Possible and DONE!!!
We need to say He's a living God. We need to live what we believe. We need to dare to ask.
We need to determine the size of our goal by the size of our God. -He wants you to dream, to
envision what HE can do THROUGH you.
You may fail. You may get impatient. But don't quit.
You may question how and when. Those are the things we may not always know. We need to
walk in faith. We need to be willing to wait on the Lord and
put all else aside. God wants to draw nearer to us, it's us
who determine how close we allow him to be. We need to
determine between No and Not Yet. Many times we're like
children in the car."are we there yet? How about now?
Now God? Are you ready now?" We need patience.
"Polaroid Vision" We need to realize that sometimes it
takes time for us to see the whole picture, our dream
developed into reality. We need to have patience and know
that he is with us. How much time do I have to give to him?
If you want you dream to be fulfilled in a year, you better
set a small goal, because God can do great things if you've
given him your WHOLE life. We set goals to low and want
them too quickly.
Each of us need a dream in our lives!
God can use us beyond our comprehension. God has a specific purpose for each of us. There's
something he can accomplish with you that he can't do with anyone else. Have you ever
gotten into the stream where you meet a need in someone else's life and feel excited and
want to do more? You may not have even been good at it, but it gives you a sense of peace
and fulfillment. God can do more with you, and you can do more with God.
Faith is choosing and believing God's dream for my life

Faith is being willing to risk failure
|
the awesome power of faith
Geoffrey Trapani - May 20, 2007
To Do:
Write your name and NO SMALL DREAM
Help me to seize the dream. You can't go after a dream
without risking failure. Do you think he's going to give you a
dream that doesn't require faith, and you to step out into
the unknown and trust him? When was the last time you
took a big risk in Jesus Christ? God is calling people with big
dreams and willing to take big risks. If You put it in my
heart, I'm not willing to give it up. Failure is no big deal. Fall
down and get back up.
Fail and then learn from it.
Don't put limitations on Him. We're in His hands.
