Seasons of service is New Life Fellowship's outreach, spearheaded by NLF's youth
group, new identity. The young people of New Life desire to see that none are lost to
this world. There is scripture after scripture about how we are to reach out to those
around us. We are to be fishers of men, to help the widows and orphans, be a friend,
treat others how we would want to be treated, put other's needs above our own.
They have already had outreach services outside with activities, puppet shows, a movie
night, games, and food all the while building a foundation of trust and love.
Each season, in other words; fall, winter, spring and summer will focus on an area of
service to the local community. This fall we're working on creating blankets for Akron
Children's Hospital. They will need to raise the money for the materials and then
organize an event to come together as a church body to create the blankets and
packages to be delivered to the hospital.
This isn't just for the youth at New Life, but for anyone that wants to become a
servant to all. "Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be
first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all." - Mark 9:35 (NIV)
Let's come together as a body, doing what Christ has called each of us to do, become
a servant.
