Memorize John 3:29-31

-My father was a priest, I will never be allowed to drink
wine or strong drink, Herod was king when I was born.
Described as one crying in the wilderness, told the king
he was sinning, Herodias wanted my head and baptized
many people in the Jordan river.
-Who is John the Baptist?
-Luke 1, Zachariah and Elizabeth were his parents.
-Zachariah saw an angel, angel said wife Elizabeth would
bare a son and shall call him John.
-John was the exception to the rule that nobody received the Holy Ghost.
-After new covenant in the New Testament and the day of Pentecost, everybody could receive the Holy
Ghost.
-Talk about John the Baptist for the next couple weeks.
-John stood up for what was right. He spoke the truth.
-He always knew who deserved to be praised.

anyone who examines this evidence will come to stake his life on this: that God himself is the truth."

-Receiving less is not a negative thing, it's a necessary thing to become less.
-God has to be most important thing in all our lives.
-It's not about being a Christian, it's about a deep relationship with God.

-1 Peter 5:5-7 5Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe
yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the
humble."[a] 6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due
time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
